For over 20 years, the CHAS-registered R&L Scaffolding has been providing residential and commercial sites with reliable scaffolding, including supplies for purchase and rentals.

The quotes are discussed from the get-go. Our interviewees say it set expectations fairly and helped avoid surprises mid-job.

Portfolio-wise, theirs is stacked with small and large-scale projects across Liverpool, Wirral, Cumbria, North Wales, and Manchester. That racks them bonus versatility points.

You’re looking at a highly sought-after bunch, though. Locking them instantly isn’t a given, so don’t hang about.

Material delivery will also cost you an extra £25–£50. You can ditch that by collecting for free, but it’s nearly a 20-minute drive from the city centre.

To be fair, R&L Scaffolding doesn’t charge absurd rates. Fifteen quid is their usual starting price point per square metre, which makes sense for Liverpool.

When we asked MAV Scaffolding’s clients the reason they chose the company, loads mentioned the competitive pricing reinforced by efficiency. Delays are rare with this bunch.

The firm’s consistency in updates was also given props. A common bit of feedback is that they get back to clients sharpish at every stage of the project.

What’s more, some of MAV’s services are unique to them. Not every company here can provide domestic and commercial clients with mobile towers or shrink-wrap containment.

One teeny hitch is they’re our furthest entrant from the Liverpool CBD. Those who prefer in-person consults must drive for half an hour or more.

Free design services wouldn’t hurt either, especially since many competitors offer them.

That said, MAV has freebies too, such as no-obligation quotes and complimentary on-site surveys. The neater part is they’ve been offering both for more than 17 years!

It’s hard to beat E&L Scaffolding’s scope. This firm can manage domestic, commercial, residential, and marine projects (like scaffolding for shipping yards or dry docks).

On top of that, you don’t have to be in Liverpool to book them; Merseyside and North West England are part of the coverage.

Another strength is their bang-on timing. Some clients noted the scaffolder’s ability to wrap up on schedule, even with a tight deadline.

Problem is, they’re not the biggest outfit here. E&L Scaffolding is CHAS-certified and CSIRS-registered, sure, but we featured names with more manpower.

As expected, getting a slot can also get tricky, thanks to the extensive reach and demand.

Can’t say they’re green or stingy with perks, though. We’re talking about a 2020-founded company with a massive and varied portfolio, as well as free services, such as on-site surveys and design work.

Based on what we dug up, Imperial Scaffolding Solutions comes with mint customer service. Owner Craig Johnston, for one, has received praise for being friendly and fast.

By fast, we mean his crew tends to start and finish things on schedule. Even our test queries showed they respond quickly, something the clients also raved about.

Sealing the deal for most is their competitive rates. In fact, almost every person we spoke with called Imperial’s pricing “very reasonable” or “very good.”

Hard to argue with that, especially when they throw in extras like free estimates, quotations, and post-job cleanups.

Where the company falls a tad short is longevity. It’s our “newest” entry, having opened in 2021.

The physical office doesn’t run daily either. Operations halt on Sundays, and the 1 pm Saturday closure might be too early for some.
